PAGES OF MARINE GLORY
The Baltic and Kamchatka are the extreme geographical areas of our country. They have been closely connected for three centuries, beginning with the First Kamchatka Marine Expedition organized by the decree of Peter I on December 23, 1724. In subsequent years, the expedition routes of Russian navigators, making great geographical discoveries in the northern seas and the Pacific Ocean, passed through Kamchatka.
The article tells about searches and finds of the researchers who restored a number of heroic pages in the history of the Russian Navy, as well as in the lives of marine explorers and the defenders of the Fatherland.
