The publication is based on a partial translation of the two-volume work of the Russian explorer, naturalist and ethnographer, corresponding member (1803) and extraordinary academician (1812) of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences Georg Heinrich von Langsdorff «Observations during a trip around the world in 1803–1807» about the circumnavigation of the the ship «Nadezhda» under the command of I.
