Статья посвящена анализу роли охоты в жизни коренного населения Камчатки начала XX в. Традиционно считается, что охота служила исключительно для жизнеобеспечения и выживания населения полуострова, однако источники начала XX в. демонстрируют трансформацию роли охоты, изменение самого характера охоты и промысла.

The article devoted to the analysis of the role of hunting in the life of the indigenous population of Kamchatka at the beginning of the twentieth century. It is traditionally believed that hunting served exclusively for the livelihood and survival of the population of the peninsula, however, sources from the beginning of the twentieth century. demonstrate the transformation of the role of hunting, the change in the very nature of hunting and fishing.
