The story of the defense of the Petropavlovsk port in 1854 as part of the Crimean War is of growing interest to many history enthusiasts not only in Russia, but also abroad. This publication will serve as additional information about the event, which became, in the words of E. Tarle, "a ray of light", which suddenly broke "through the dark clouds", on the example of the history of one ship - a participant of the defense, will reveal the features of domestic sailing shipbuilding in the first half of the XIX century.
