В результате анализа истории археологических исследований на Камчатке установлены периоды изучения каменного века полуострова: 1. В 1850–1950-е гг. происходило накопление, осмысление и обобщение материалов; считалось, что полуостров был заселён в эпоху неолита; 2. В 1961–1990-е гг. применялись естественнонаучные методы для датирования археологических находок и формировались первые периодизации каменного века Камчатки. 3. В первой четверти XXI в. с учётом современных технологий корректируются полученные на втором этапе схемы периодизаций каменного века Камчатки. В числе перспективных направлений исследований в регионе: реконструкция природных явлений; установление взаимосвязей и характера взаимодействия событий в природе и обществе в процессе освоения полуострова человеком в каменном веке.

The St one Age of Kamchatka: a history of research
As a result of the analysis of the history of archaeological research in Kamchatka, periods of study of the Stone Age of the peninsula have been established: 1. In the 1850–1950's an accumulation, comprehension and generalization of materials there were and it was believed that the peninsula was inhabited in the Neolithic era; 2. In the 1961–1990's, natural science methods were used to date archaeological finds and the first periodizations of the Stone Age of Kamchatka were formed. 3. In the first quarter of the XXI century, taking into account modern technologies, the schemes of periodization of the Stone Age of Kamchatka obtained at
the second stage are adjusted. Among the promising areas of research in the region are the reconstruction of natural phenomena, the establishment of interrelations and the nature of the interaction of events in nature and society in the process of human development of the peninsula in the Stone Age.
